  1. As a former #MilitaryAgeMale during the declaration and execution of the #GlobalWarOnTerror, you, me, and all of us are thisclose to being declared “domestic terrorists.”

    Hear me now.

    Believe me later.

    My $0.02.

    Your mileage will not vary.

    #history

  2. @TruthSandwich @Oeneus

I have a couple decades experience being “otherized” by my fellow fearful, anxious, and terrified Americans, so if you’re trying to paint this #American #MilitaryAgeMale with that brush, you need to try a whole lot harder and up your emotional manipulation game, my sibling in Dionysus.

  3. Yes, as an #American #MilitaryAgeMale, terror events, military actions, and the national discourse, is all vaguely…triggering.

Just when you think you’ve processed shit, they pull you back into The Suck.

  4. Kids protesting are gonna be sniped from a rooftop or droned for exercising their 1st Amendment rights.

    Things are different now.

Welcome to the New Normal™ of the globalized #MilitaryAgeMale.

I expected this to occur to voters standing in lines during the elections of 2020.

    My forecast was too early.

  5. @GreenFire @NosirrahSec @potus

    I was an #American #MilitaryAgeMale on 9/11.

    Born and raised.

Keep accusing people who are not terrorists of having terrorist sympathies.

It will work out well for you.

The Americans whom you accuse will forget easily.

    I promise.

    Ask me how I know.

  6. As an #American #MilitaryAgeMale who has been #ExtremelyOnline since #Usenet, I have some experience with people using shibboleths to say one thing as cover for something else, either towards me, but mainly the entire category of The Others™.

I’m familiar with how quickly “otherization” occurs, how shibboleths concretize, and how the worst people weaponize them effectively.

    Ask me how I know.

  7. Hamas are fncking sociopaths who oppress the Palestinian people they supposedly “govern”

Being pro-Hamas is a bad look.

    Don’t be pro-Hamas.

Likud are also fncking racists who think children of The Others™ don’t count as human.

    Don’t be pro-Likud.

    Sincerely,
    an #American #MilitaryAgeMale

  8. @nadiaalbelushi

The subconscious understanding and placement of the term #MilitaryAgeMale is a somewhat useful #shibboleth

  9. @MaxG @Miro_Collas

As a #MilitaryAgeMale and an #American who is not a terrorist, I’ve had to define it more than I’d like, unfortunately.

  10. A #MilitaryAgeMale was any virtue-signaling serf from Briton to the Danube to the Rubicon to the Balkans who was engaged in #Crusaderism.

  11. @SteveThompson @xdydx @VICENews

Is it possible for you to venture a guess regarding the number of dead children in Gaza that doesn’t involve mentioning Hamas (they are terrorists terrorizing, I get it, I’m a #MilitaryAgeMale).

Is the fact I’m a military-age male, who would be considered a casualty in your war on terror, why you think I’m being judgmental?

  12. If there are things that South Asian bros can do #comedy about it’s the reality of being a #MilitaryAgeMale: bbc.com/news/world-europe-6805

  13. @Bam @wolfsbruder

I learned the term “hasbara” in the last couple months and pattern-matching between “flooding the zone”, “bloviating bullshit”, and straight up anti-Jewish propaganda everyone is swimming in it.

The objective is increase the cognitive load for #CriticalThinking.

As a post-9/11 #MilitaryAgeMale #American, my sense is only 15-20% of the population needs to be persuaded that the stated intent is correct and morally justified.

  14. As a #MilitaryAgeMale #American, I have lots of experience condemning terrorists because I was viewed by my own people and state as an enemy combatant.

There is a rich history in this country of viewing certain bodies as implicit threats.

In fact, I have so much experience, it developed my worldview of #RadicalHumanism.

    Terrorists hate it.

Turns out the feeling is mutual.

  15. @EyalL @Migueldeicaza @Miro_Collas

I’m #American, #MilitaryAgeMale during 9/11, who was suddenly viewed as an enemy combatant by his own people.

I opposed invading Iraq, it sounded like a stupid idea.

Dropping bombs to kill innocent cuildren is the most efficient way to create more Hamas.

Biden knows this. So does Netanyahu.

The average Israeli is comporting like the average American post-9/11.

    This makes everyone more unsafe.

Eliminate the territorialism, settlements, and dead children.

  16. As someone who was a #MilitaryAgeMale on and after 9/11, the expressed sentiment by everyday Israelis to support indiscriminately eliminating every military-age male Palestinian is both vaguely traumatizing and also a conflict with my #CoreValues of #RadicalHumanism.

  17. @Syphilia @mikeblake @pvonhellermannn

I have been unpacking a lot of unprocessed trauma around the lived experience of being a #MilitaryAgeMale.

As someone living in a Southern, country club Republican fraternity house on Sept. 11, I’ve gone through the surrral experience of getting “otherized” by your neighbors.

I feel the vibe of Gaza in my South Asian #American bones.

  18. @0li @panamared27401

    This is a good point.

As someone who was a #MilitaryAgeMale in 2001, I think 9/11 fractured psyches in ways we’ve only barely scratched.

  19. Personally, as an #American and person who was a #MilitaryAgeMale on the day, I view 9/11 as a failure of the national security apparatus.

As people have been comparing the terrorist attacks of 10/7 to Sept. 11, I’m sure there are Israelis who feel the same way:
