Heute möchte ich für mein absolutes Lieblingsspiel eine Lanze brechen, denn für mich gehört es zu den am meisten unterschätzten Spielen der letzten 30 Jahre. Natürlich sind Geschmäcker verschieden. Als ich es 2015 zum ersten Mal spielte, hat es mich jedoch vom ersten Moment an in seinen Bann gezogen.

I made a small mod for Might & Magic X to fix a lot of playability issues and a few bugs. This isn't a balance or content mod, but I think it makes the game play a lot more smoothly. Increasing the movement speed was at the top of my list.

Just finished Dark Messiah of Might & Magic. The combat is super fun, but the ending felt... meh? The cutscenes felt super-cheap, and kind of rushed tbh. Still, I'm glad I finally got to play throught the entire thing!

Вчера не удержался и забежал в сохранёнку Меч и Магия 7. Уже после победы остались побочки же. К тому же я играю в Merged версию и там можно будет потом этим же составом прыгнуть в 8 часть. Читерство, но привык уже к этой команде. :)
PS Играю в wine - отлично идёт. Единственное: ограничил частоту кадров до 60, чтобы проц отдыхал, как будто нативно играю.

Everyone talks about HOMM3 but personally, I feel HOMM5 is incredibly underappreciated!
The gameplay is smooth and well-paced. The story is campy early 2000s high fantasy at its best, and the visuals are timeless: colorful and evoking thoughts of tabletop miniatures.

EDIT: found it. Apparently it's just total experience, divided by the number of days elapsed. Makes sense.
OK, so there's extensive walkthroughs for the late 90s and early 2000s games in the M&M series to be found online.
But, as I plan my next playthrough of M&M7, I considered making it a game of trying to get a fairly high score.
And... I can't seem to find any info on how that score is calculated.
Any good soul can help me out? Boost please for more reach.

Small update on my #Thinkpad 755C. I put in a 4GB CF-Disk (8GB isn't supported by the BIOS) and installed #MSDOS 6.22 with #Windows311 on one partition and #Windows95 on a second partition.
It was a bit painful to find all necessary drivers, and the #DOS driver for the soundcard is almost unusable - mostly distorted and when speech is output, the laptop freezes. The Windows 95 drivers are better, but I haven't gotten the DOS games to use them, yet.
Also, some games like #Albion or #TheSettlers don't like the Western Digital graphics card.
But a lot of the old games I liked work fine, like #MightAndMagic 4/5 and #IndianaJones 3 and 4. It's more a nostalgia project, I know the games work better using DOSBox or Wine.

Вечер разом стал грустнее... Мы дружно (аж вчетвером) дошли до последней миссии в "Мечь и Магия 8". Лорды стихий разрушили кристалл Эскатона, тот отправил маячёк создателям и... всё.
Мы в городе, дальше можно уже идти выполнить побочки, пройти все турниры в Аркомаг... Но это уже не то. История кончилась... Эх.

Вчера закончили Меч и Магия 7. Герои оказались на узловой станции в космосе и теперь перед ними множество миров. Что дальше - уже не важно для истории.
А чуть позже, но уже в Жадаме, появится Разрушитель Миров....
