Fijar recuerdos siempre fue complicado, y ahora parece el más difícil todavía de una competición televisada a causa de lo fugaz que ocurren los eventos de cualquier naturaleza.
Yo juraría que Poster Girl (de portadón) fue el último largo de Zara Larsson. Fue Venus. Viendo créditos ya pude atar cabos: eso fue cuando lo de Sommer House, la artista siendo también autónoma, o empresaria, yo qué sé, es confuso el mundillo.
En cierta manera llevo razón, ¿a quién le importó Venus?
Larsson debería dar menos vía libre a sus equipos (MNEK y cía) pues corre el riesgo de perder su esencia entre la de sus cocreadores. Yo creo que ese es el mayor error de Pretty Ugly. Por suerte ha redirigido la promo del próximo largo, Midnight Sun, con el corte homónimo.
Esto ha sucedido con un videoclip de corte añejo e inocentón, de colorinchis antes de que colores, festivo antes que alegre. Recuerda al Love Profusion (esa canción que jamás me cansaré de oír) pero hecho aposta, sin esperar a que el paso del tiempo (y de la técnica) lo desluzca. Y, de algún modo, también a los visuales de Empire of the Sun.

En contraste con la parte visual, Midnight Sun tiene un sonido electrónico (de muchas electrónicas) armonizado al servicio de lo que debe ser una canción pop, aunando calidad con capacidad personal para sacar un tema adelante y visión pop: es su canción, suena a ella. Queda un tema pop de hoy que sienta como un guante a la sueca.
Llamando a voz en grito al verano y su sol (nórdico), Zara canta una letra sencilla y vital con un estribillo breve pero no simple condensado en una frase estirada y subrayada con atinado ojo con unos efectos burbujeantes que realzan el espíritu de la canción lejos de resultar machacones o burdos.
