An ITALIAN pressing of the soundtrack to Midnight Cowboy?
    For two dollars?!?!
    Yes, please.

Famous for the Harry Nilsson cover of “Everybody’s Talkin’”, which everybody thinks is his song, but was actually written by the great Fred Neil.

Midnight Cowboy was another one of those movies that was on TV a lot when I was a kid, albeit in heavily edited and butchered form.
Nonetheless, the music will forever live rent-free in my head forever, due to the amount of Saturday and Sunday afternoon viewings of the film that I had as a kid.

  6. I've been reading Glenn Frankel's book, Shooting Midnight Cowboy over the past week.

It's a fascinating time-capsule about the changing sexual attitudes and mores of the time.

I first saw the movie as a kid when it aired on TV (it was X-rated in the theaters at one time). I had no clue about the homo-erotic undertones of the movie. I just remember it making me cry.

My sibs and I loved the soundtrack (much to the annoyance of my better-halves).

  9. #MondayMorningCovers
On #MondayMornings, it's rough pulling back the covers to get your week going.

I start my week playing old favorite hits. Sometimes I'll play a #CoverVersion. And, sometimes I'll play the original song. Today, I'm playing both...

Here's the #CoverSong by #HarryNilsson from the #MidnightCowboy soundtrack (w/theme song by #JohnBarry at the tail end)...
