Despite the 2022 post (-> #GoodOf2022), my brain again fell into the trap of thinking we haven't accomplished much at all.
So again, here's a summary, partly for myself, of some of the things I've achieved in 2023:
- Bought an Infiray #P2Pro thermal camera module and reverse-engineered its protocol
- Fixed #midiLighter deep-discharging the LiPo after a fault
- Got started with #CH32V003 development
- Tore down and partly reverse-engineered my #Storm2 powerbank#GoodOf2023 🧵 1/3

(now for the actual post I wanted to make an hour ago :D)
After taking the #midiLighter prototype to #MakerFaire Hannover in September 2022 and demonstrating it there, it failed on the end of the last day (timing :D).
Opening it up back home revealed that the SMD fuse had blown. Interesting.
I measured and tested around a bit, but couldn't find a fault that would lead to excess current flow.
So I replaced the fuse and it worked fine...

Soo, finally some progress on project #midiLighter.
I implemented some safety features in the firmware (mainly UVP* and OTP*) and assembled the lighter into its original chassis for the first time.
(The button needed a bit of sanding, but otherwise it fits perfectly)[* under voltage protection / over temperature protection]

- Dabbled in building two antweight battle bots together with @techbeard and reached 3rd place in two competitions
- Converted a stinky pocket bike into a powerful #ePocketBike (2kW BLDC)
- Assembled #midiLighter into a case
- Built a projector mount for my bed
- Built a controller and mounted a radial-flow fan to my radiator to increase its room heating performance
- Reverse engineered and proposed a fix to a broken slush machine PCB

I tend to feel like I haven't accomplished very much in the past [year].
I guess this might be because my mind is always full of current unfinished projects and how I could push them forward [if I had the energy to start one].So here's a summary, partly for myself, of what I actually achieved in 2022 project-wise:
- Improved #PixelBridge for #modLED
- Got #midiLighter PCB working
- Helped with implementing the ESP32 WiFi mesh for an LED installation#GoodOf2022 1/3

Newest project: #midiLighter
Just got the basic HV modulation working and outputting tones. I didn't expect it to be as loud as it is. (A bit over normal talking volume I'd say)And yes, it can still light stuff on fire while playing tones :D
