Certbot on my laptop on hotel WiFi upset about DNS requests to the authoritative server coming back with recursive/not authoritative-looking responses.
Solution: tether laptop to phone which gives me roaming data back to Germany which isn't interfered with in the same way.

Remembered what I wanted to post. Attended an interesting #security seminar today presented by Zachary DeStefano of NYU, talking about using non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs to allow #middleboxes to enforce network policies without an intercepting proxy and without server-visible changes to #TLS 1,3. Kicker slide: "These overheads are not entirely impractical for some real-world systems!" -- which I guess is par for the course with #ZKP methods.

@jpmens May be also a comment on how to find out which resolver(s) were proposed by DHCP because sometimes they can be the only ones reachable.
