  1. @MaFu55 @dzne They find that increased C4 reduces #synapse density while decreasing #microglial contact with synapses. This challenges the simple "more pruning" view and points to disrupted microglial surveillance and signaling instead. Together, this links C4–CR3 signaling to circuit-level dysfunction, providing a mechanistic bridge between immune genetics and synaptic pathology in #schizophrenia.
