A few days ago I visited a little brewery in one of our favourite valleys in the Pyrenees. Today and yesterday I was working my way through some of their offerings, so far so very good. Great joy drinking these while knowing that a few I have hiked or cycled up in the past ;)

I’m lucky enough to have a little commercial park with a microbrewery at the end of my block … 

and I visited there a moment ago with a new Viltrox 9mm f/2 ultra-wide-angle lens. So much fun!

It focuses as close as five inches from the lens.

Also found some beers from one of my favorite French breweries, La Débauche, at the supermarket in Villebois-Lavalette.

And I think there's a Dutch connection here. The cans are black which is typical for a specific Dutch microbrewery. That brewery is ran by engineers that also monetize their knowledge about packaging their beers. They can even build you a complete canning line! I wouldn't be surprised if La Débauche has had some help from them.

Gratuitous beer post. Found myself a short drive from a local brewery. Local means Orkney this week. This is their first NEPA, which is very nice. Stumbled on one of their IPAs yesterday during lunch at a pub - also very nice. I have secured several other beers as well. Just to check. Something.

There was some prior history of this. The Portland (OR.) PRIDE of the Continental Indoor Soccer League (a summertime #indoor #soccer league) had a deal with a #microbrewery to sponsor its pre- and post-game shows on radio. But they had not been able to secure a kit ad for it.

Temps tomorrow morning expected to be -13F. It’s 7F now but wind chills are in the -16F range!

Makes me Mad at Midnight. Thank goodness I’ve got this #portageBrewing barrel-aged mole imperial stout to bring the heat.

Literally perched on top of a rock, Rocca Scalegna #castle in #Abruzzo, #Italy is beautiful. There also an interesting #microbrewery very nearby. I visited both today. The final section of path up to the castle is very arduous.

Ich habe heute Bier getrunken, dessen Rezeptur auf der Analyse von Resten beruht, die man in bronzezeitlichen Gräbern bei der Heuneburg & bei Hochdorf gefunden hat. Es ist im Prinzip ein Sauerbier, das mit Krause Minze, Mädesüß & Honig anstatt Hopfen gewürzt wurde (Hopfen haben wohl erst die Alamannen verwendet). Wer gern Kriek mag, der mag auch dieses Bier.
