Kevin Costner in einem Western zu sehen, heißt zwangsläufig ja immer auch „Der mit dem Wolf tanzt“ mitzudenken. Einfach weil alle, die den Film damals gesehen haben, ihn nicht mehr vergessen können. Seine Western-Obsession fortzusetzen, war 2003 tatsächlich fast schon trotzig von dem Mann, angesichts der Mega-Flops als die sich seine Projekte nach dem Blockbuster und Oscar-Hit entpuppt haben.
