I will pay the latifundia danegeld, but the lack of push to #EndRebates where it matters (at national level) is one of the great mysteries of #EUpol for me. tldr: we pay higher spreads on debt we need to finance the #EU because German and Dutch politicians have to hide the (insufficient) joint EU debt from their voters because they made them believe it's morally hazardous to issue EU debt because lazy Southerners would spend it on booze and twinks.
At my most voracious, eurobisexual peak, I could at best blow 2 billion a year on wine and groupies. Still leaves 798 for climate change mitigation and Ukraine. 🥂
