  1. The worst thing about doing #MewtwoX and #MewtwoY mega raids in #PokemonGo is the handful of players who don't understand that they need to keep their mega-evolved Pokemon at the rear and when it comes time to breaking the shields, their mega-evolved Pokemon will automatically be brought into the raid.

Almost lost a remote raid b/c of it. Fortunately, I think everyone figured out that there were two clueless folks and everyone eventually got into a brand new lobby with more players. Oof.

On the positive side of this weekend's #PokemonGoFest, the first -- and only -- solo Guzzlord I did was shiny. Yay.

Okay, I can go back to being casual once again.

  3. It's been a long time since I did the #PDX South Park Blocks during a #PokemonGo event. It was very slow; it appears most people are now doing raids remotely. However, there were a handful of groups walking around to tackle Mega #MewtwoX raids. What a huge change from just before the COVID shutdowns when EX Raids drew dozens of players. Needing 10 players w/ mega-evolved Pokemon makes these raids more complicated, as most low-level casual players don't have any mega-evolved Pokemon.
