    I was up late a couple of nights running and not feeling sleepy. I put on some of my favourite Welsh songs last night; a bit of Calan, Mari Mathias, Buddug and some Eädyth Crawford. Then I threw in some Alffa and Nogood Boyo because, what the hell, I was wide awake anyway.

    I've been listening to Mari Mathias quite a bit lately. Her album Annwn is fantastic and the title track is one of the stand-out songs. However, my favourite has to be Rebel.

    Alffa have released their second album, O’r Lludw / From Ashes.
    I'd love to have gone to their gig last night but it just wasn't possible unfortunately. Somehow, I don't think it'll be too long before they play more dates, so maybe next time.
    In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy listening to the new album.
