🇫🇷 En cherchant autre chose, j'ai retrouvé ce plan du métro de Paris... Je ne sais pas de quelle année il est, il n'y aucune indication... Néanmoins, ça doit dater d'avant 1969, année de mise en service du premier tronçon du RER A entre La Défense et Etoile puisque ce tracé est indiqué comme en construction ou en projet. Si quelqu'un en sait plus, qu'il n'hésite pas. 🙂
🇬🇧 Looking for something else, I found back this old Network map of Paris Underground... I don't know from which year it is. All I can say, it dates back before 1969 as the first part of RER A from La Défense to Etoile is marked as under construction or planned. Feel free if you know more. 🙂

@jfmezei @canleaf @kenshirriff Now that's interesting! In Paris (the birthplace of Calypso) they still sell ONLY paper magstripe tickets for multi-zone trips, and I have suspected this is because #Calypso cannot handle it.
Barcelona wisely avoided this mess by going with #CIPURSE for the #tmobilitat instead.

@jon @reecemartintransit Since Villejuif will not be opening, why does the train waste energy slowing down on the approach and then speeding back up? It's the same #CBTC used by Barcelona line 9 (Siemens Trainguard MT), but in BCN the trains blow right through unserved stations at full speed.
What a waste of energy. What the hell is #alstom doing? Learn from the projects that got things right!
Let's hope they fix this before it goes into revenue service.

@jon @reecemartintransit Most of the remainder in between there and Olympiades, however... not so much. Given that they want to open this whole section on 24 June I am quite surprised to see so few people at work, given that this was in the middle of a weekday.

@jon @reecemartintransit @straphanger Aéroport d'Orly station is essentially 99.9% done, and it looks beautiful, right down to the lighting.
On the way out of the airport, it will doubtless be a beautiful first impression for visitors to Paris.
Alas, there will be a surcharge for travellers entering or leaving the metro at this station. This should probably come as no surprise, but hopefully won't be anywhere near what the #orlyval costs.

Un plan de la 14 totalement découvert. A noter qu'il y a un autocollant au niveau des correspondances à Pleyel, Villejuif Gustave Roussy et Aéroport d'Orly, qui masque potentiellement les lignes 15 à 18, pas encore ouvertes.

46km, 348hmAm Montag sind Museen und andere Ausstellungen in Frankreich geschlossen. In ganz Frankreich? Nein, eine kleine Hauptstadt etwas nördlich des Zentrums hält dagegen und öffnet die Pforten vieler ihrer Museen auch an Montagen. Wegen eines Ausstellungsbesuchs sind wir aber nicht hierher gekommen und deshalb finden wir das zwar sehr nett, schlagen das Angebot aber aus, denn heute ist das Wetter gut und wir haben die Räder mit, also fahren wir aufs Land.
Naja, so ganz Land ist Versailles heute nicht mehr, aber damals als es erbaut wurde, war das noch ganz schön weit. So hat auch die von den Pariserinnen angeführte Menge, die am 5. und 6. Oktober 1789 den König samt Familie nach Paris […]

Sans conteste, pour moi la plus belle station de Paris. Adressons d'abord l'éléphant dans la pièce : les quais de la 11. Thème Jules Verne, bords cuivrés sous-marin, et engrenages au plafond !
Même en quittant ces quais, la station s'offre le luxe d'être géniale : une correspondance courte, et des couloirs qui conservent le thème de la 11 avec leur décoration couleur cuivrée.
