If Metro doesn’t name the Vermont Line the “V” line they are missing a major branding opportunity.

Vermont Avenue is one of the two busiest bus corridors in Los Angeles.
It will first receive a bus rapid transit project, and then be upgraded to light-rail.

To the North, extend the K-Lime further to the Burbank Airport and/or high-speed rail station.
To the South, extend the K-Line further to San Pedro and Long Beach Airport.

Last night, #MetroLosAngeles Westside & Central Service Council voted unanimously to recommend that Metro select the San Vicente / Fairfax alignment to Mid-City West, West Hollywood, Hollywood, and the Hollywood Bowl as Metro's Locally Preferred Alternative for the northern extension of the K-Line.
The Metro Board should be selecting the LPA later this month.

Metro approved the Hawthorne alignment for the southern extension of the K-Line. Hopefully, this will go to Long Beach someday. Now onto the Northern extension to Mid-City West, WeHo, and Hollywood.

I just found out about the Sunset Blvd. bus lane proposal through Hollywood which sounds terrific. The bus lanes should go all the way Downtown.
