#Konami announcing a new #Castlevania last night, featuring a Netflix inspired art design, and offspring of Trevor and Sypha as the protagonist was a welcome surprise. Motion Twin (Dead Cells) advising is also another great sign.

With that and Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement coming out, 2026 is shaping up to be a great year for #Metroidvanias.

I have a very hard time building up motivation to complete final boss battles in metroidvanias. I get more enjoyment out of exploration and puzzles than battles; knowing that the game is over after the final battle demotivates me.

I've been procrastinating on finishing Metroid Prime and Hollow Knight for this reason. #metroidvanias #gaming

I don't know if #castlevania and #megadrive / #genesis fans have seen but there's a guy who has been remaking #SymphonyOfTheNight for the genesis and it's like insanely cool.
