  2. We all agree that storms and climate disasters should be named after oil executives, right?

Soo, since this is not (yet) happening... why not simply crating a bot here on mastodon for this purpose? 😈

We have all the ingredients at hand!

    We need just:
    - metereologists that know how the naming works and where to get the latest metereological events and their names. There must be some official source.
    - lists with names of the most heinous fossil execs, and maybe one or two sentences about their achievements. With this we create a small database.
    - somebody capable of building a bot that takes the official name and changes it into an executive of Exxon, Shell or whatever (the list is long, later Banks, Presidents, ClimateDenying Scientists... can be also included).

-> voilá, our ExecsOfClimateDisaster-bot is born

(the name is open for suggestions, too 😝 )

Come on, who wants to participate? :anarchyblob:

  3. So, this just hammered down on us in Zumaia. Never seen hail nearly as big and I'm pretty sure it's not normal here in the N Atlantic coast of the Bay of Biscay. At all. In any case, scary stuff. I hope nobody got hurt.

  4. If you are in the #UK and are wondering why these first weeks of Spring are cold and gloomy, wonder no more. Recording of winds at 250 hPa, an atmospheric pressure corresponding to the altitude of the jet stream.
