Back to my Mastodon studies today, with a second listen to Hushed and Grim (2021).
I really enjoyed this one. Pleasingly heavy and rhythmic, and this time it was the vocals that brought to mind bluesy 70s rock. Clearly more research is needed.

Good walk tonight and a chance to listen to a random album from a random band I'd never heard before. This time it was Unleash the Archers, with Abyss.
Some power metal starts to sound same-y to me after a few songs, but there was enough going on in these songs to make it a good pairing with a walk at dusk while the fruit bats squabbled and swooped out of the trees above. 🤘 🦇
