Mastodon Devs: 3 things are turning away millions of people. Do you have any plans to fix these?
1. Having to pick a server when you sign up
2. Have to copy & paste links to other servers because of awkward federation implementation
3. No quote tweets. Why is this such an issue?

Mastodon will never take off with the general public until these are fixed. That sucks because open source social media is the future we need #metacommentary #mastodon #mastodondevs

Some other useful ones besides #PaperThread, may be #TalkThread (for livetooting talks), and #MetaCommentary (posts about Mastadon or Twitter). I would also love to distinguish between author's posts vs. commentary in #PaperThread .
