If the UK government agrees to a wholesale undoing of copyright, to excuse Meta's massive theft of books, art, movies etc as 'data', then the creative industries and all of us working in them are finished.

Meta stole two of my books from a piracy site to train AI. I support the Society of Authors protest today and demand that Meta #DoTheWriteThing and compensate authors for the work they stole.
