My main input devices are an Ergodox with blank keycaps in a Dvorak layout, and an Evoluent Vertical Mouse. My mobile uses a 9-keys swipe-based keyboard (MessageEase until recently, now Thumb-Key with a compatible layout). People sometimes ask me about this, and then I talk to them for way longer than they signed up for. Perhaps a written summary would save some in the future (but do ask if you want a chat!).

Err so. While I've been meaning to give money to #MessageEase for years of use, I very much dislike being forced into a subscription. Just a reminder that it is not Libre Software, and that it's not under my control and can be taken from me on someone else's whim. Particularly for something as important as my main input method.

I'll give a go to the Pro app, and see what the subscription looks like, but it feels like it's time to reevaluate @thumbkey , I guess.

Damn, I recently switched by from my #MessageEase android keyboard to the default android one, (for the convenience of automatic translation, that i need these days), but i see i'm posting a lot of messages were some of the words weren't the ones i intended to, and i think people must be quite puzzled when reading me. I need to learn to proofread again.
It's great that i can now edit the messages in #tusky but i sometime see the mistake randomly a long time after, and it's embarrassing.

@frankiezafe who said no keyboard, I have direct access to all special keys with #MessageEase.
