Hier nun noch Teil 2 der Bilder vom Mesa Verde.
Beginnen wir mit einem Baum.
Hier oben sind es übrigens um die 30 Grad. Vor knapp 800 Jahren dachten sich deshalb auch die Navajo, dass ein schattiges Plätzchen ganz gut wäre.
Ganz schön clever. 300 Jahre später haben sie Mesa Verde aber dann ganz verlassen, und bis 1950 gab es dort kein

Somehow, I’d never appreciated what a Big Freakin’ Deal Mesa Verde NP is in the grand scheme of things. It was wonderful to get a taste of it today. I can’t wait to go back and explore a bit more (maybe some time when it’s less hot though).
