In winter I always suffered from cold feet. So this time I decided to buy some winter socks. Up until now I only used normal socks and indoor shoes.
Damn why did it take me so long to buy some merino wool socks?

Started watching "Keuringsdienst van Waarde", a Dutch show on NPO. I learnt that in Canada, for Merino wool, they:
a) Cut off the skin on the sheep's behind, to prevent them from being eaten alive by flies because their feces will get stuck in the wool.. It's called Mulesing.
And b) It's our own fault because we're breeding them with lots and lots of skin flaps (more wool per sheep!), causing these unsanitary conditions in the first place.
Money really corrupts.

@saiga in onze jaren-'70 rottende betonnen blok was vorige winter de verwarming ook stuk. Deze winter is het er ook gewoon niet warm te stoken boven de 3de verdieping. Dekentjes, sjaals, skibroeken horen bij m'n werkkledij (mijn werk zit tussen bureau en niet geklimatiseerd labo).
Hertoginnedal is niet het enige onverwarmde overheidsgebouw :/

I take them off while I sleep and turn them inside out. Then in the morning I flip them back and put them on.
Yes this is a habit from #hiking and no I won't stop. They're very nice and I don't have enough of them in winter.
