Until now, the sea has been exciting for the Panorme sisters, but far from dangerous: even though they had a good scare, there was more to explore and understand than to fear.
But now it seems things have changed. A siren sounds, a strange ship is approaching them, and it looks like things are about to get worse.
They're just marine biologists; what will they do now?
This, and much more, in the new chapter of "Fish Don't Cry." Don't miss it ;)

And so, Sangreal had a secret... one he didn't even know he possessed. Or rather, he didn't know it was a secret! It was directly connected to the "monster" following the ship—the creature the Panorme sisters analyzed in the photographs—but how?

Find out this and much more in the new chapter of Fish Don't Cry! Don't miss it!

Misunderstandings can happen when you're part of two extremely distant cultures, the important thing is to clarify, right? And in what sense… in what sense is one of you not even human?

Discover this, and much more, in the new exciting chapter of "Fish don't Cry!". Don't miss it ;)

Sangreal sees "his" human, Seraphin, in every human... a bit of a hyperfixation.

The character he's looking at is Jack, from Kidwma. Drawn for this lil' interaction thing!

Today's drawing was created for us by Ifreann7 (for ArtFight, in which our official artists are participating)!

The same artist previously created one of the coolest things in the world for us, a printable paper puppet of Sangreal. And now they're back with an absolutely fabulous piece of traditional art, depicting Seras Alkahest and Sangreal together!

A beautiful illustration, which somehow feels like... "classic" art. Maybe that's not the right word, we admit, and certainly not, but it somehow reminds us of Leonardo da Vinci's sketches, in terms of "vibe." As if a multifaceted artist, a naturalist, had captured this scene with just a pencil, after seeing it. (Although we know Leonardo da Vinci didn't exactly use a pencil like the ones we know today, but whatever: we won't take back the comparison with the old Florentine.)

It's a typical scene, with Sangreal showing his usual puzzled, slightly surprised expression (and as usual, he tries to hide it, but he doesn't have such precise control over his fish face) in the presence of Seras, who, as is natural for her, seems in control of the situation.

His tentacles are sinuous, full, almost material, and fill the space around his body as if claiming possession; his hair, incredibly long, floats around his face.

And then... yooo, the perspective of Sangreal's tail fin is so cool! The way the shadows define his body so well! It's not easy to capture his appearance so precisely. But above all, he looks fantastic!

An adorable digital portrait of Sangreal!

With a soft smile, surrounded by adorable creatures, this Sangreal has a simple and clean feel. And it makes us smile: it almost seems like he's happy because he's thinking about food (which is why the creatures manifested around his head).

Now we feel like we're the ones forcing people to draw more shrimp.

Today's incredible illustration was created for us by Jajna!

We love crossovers, when our characters appear in illustrations alongside other characters... and seeing Sangreal appear in a scene like this, with a fairy asking him for directions, is absolutely fantastic!

It's interesting... although the world of Fish Don't Cry is much, much more sci-fi than fantasy, fae actually exist there, so it's perfectly plausible that he'd meet someone like Titioh.

Luckily, Sanny has a good ability to orient himself, mapping his surroundings thanks to his electric field and his good memory: after all, he can navigate an almost completely dark space, in the depths of the ocean, with very few (if any) landmarks, so he'll certainly be able to give Titioh directions if she's looking for land!

And this scene is "formatted" as if it were a comic book panel, making it even more iconic considering Sangreal stars in his own comic. And fun fact! We also drew Titioh (well, it's just a sketch...) in a page of the official Fish don't Cry comic.

The scene has a delightfully organic feel, and we love how Sangreal seems to be listening intently to the questions of what for him is a strange terrestrial (or airborne?) creature. We'll keep looking at this illustration again and again. Thanks, Jajna, for creating it for us!

Today's drawing was created for us by Ifreann7 (for ArtFight, in which our official artists are participating)!

There are all kinds of things we expect to receive... 3D models, digital drawings, traditional drawings, pixel art sprites... but if there's one thing we absolutely DIDN'T expect to see, and that really surprised us, it's a buildable paper doll of Sangreal!

(We don't know how long this link will be available, but this is the printing template, in case you want to print it at home to build your own articulated fish! But we warn you, it'll be a lot of work: https://file.garden/aBd6dBrHIxMxEOvg/Not%20Mine/SANGREAL%20PUPPET%20PRINT%20updated.pdf )

It's incredibly long! It's beautiful! And it's also incredibly complicated! We've probably never built a puppet as complicated as this one, but that's precisely what blew us away: the complexity and perfection of the details, all remembered and perfectly placed. We can't believe someone made something so beautiful for us!
Can we just say we love the way the face was drawn? It's absolutely perfect for Sangreal: his round, fish-like eyes, contrasting with his full, well-defined, and decidedly more "human" lips, are his trademark, that thing that gives him a slight "uncanny" that we love so much, and which has been captured so well here that we couldn't have done better. Even the nose, voluminous and aquiline, with a beautiful rounded, unbroken curve, is truly his.

It's perhaps one of the most precise and perfect pieces of Sangreal fan art we've ever received.

Sangreal must have certainly left a mark... and that's something we're incredibly proud of. Look at this bizarre fish guy!

And the best part is that now we can print it, put it together (will we be able to? We really hope so. For now, half of it is put together and attached to our fridge, we hope we can finish it all!) and have it with us always. A beautiful gift, in short, is what we received.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

[While Doppio was exhausted from the tail end of his ordeal, he was at least happy one of the eggs had made it to term. All he had to do was to keep this one safe until it hatched. "Boss will definately be proud of me for this..."]

While I'm fully writing that idea out for merfolk!AU, here's a follow up of the drawing I drew on Wedsnday morning; a part of the story is that Doppio has to carry an heir for Diavolo- except usually merfolk end up with at least more than one surviving egg per clutch, Doppio ended up with the short end of the stick in this case and only had one... but it's okay, since his 'boss' at least wanted one heir, right?

(will i draw more of this? maybe.)

["I know Boss asked me this favor, but I can't wait until this is over- hopefully there's at least one that makes it..."]

Mpreg? In my Merfolk!AU? It's... more likely than you think.

(This is a pic for that follow up a post thinking of a follow up fic to a fic I wrote on Aethy a week or so ago, so still more Mermay shenanigans. Also, forgive the quality, it was drawn on fumes hours earlier.)

Under the sea, under the sea... tears have no meaning.

There's a comic series that we're sketching in ballpoint pen, no previous pencil studies, it's just... a challenge. And this is the cover, yay! (The cover was sketched, and it's of a better quality than the pages, because it's the cover)

But it can be interesting to read, for y'all! It's 100% experimental, and it will have some weird stuff in it. We hope do you like deep sea fish!

Sangreal has a very special pet... it's a Stylephorus chordatus, or tubefish (look it up! It's a hilarious creature) named... er... "Anxiety You Get When You Smell Ammonia in the Water," or "Ammonia" for short.

A very special little fish, wouldn't you agree?

(Just a little ballpoint pen sketch. We'll sketch him every day, probably).
