#MercurySteam getting layoffs is bad but it's common from them to contract people per project.
That means, they completed a project. Given how toxic the environment is, good riddance.
May be #Metroid6 or the alledged #SuperMetroidRemake (which could be known as #MetroidZebes). I doubt is a new #Castlevania. Surely Nintendo will put in on the freezer to fill 2027.

¿Estamos llegando a ese punto más álgido de la mierdificación de la industria de los #videojuegos en cuanto al desarrollo y a los publishers?
Me ha llegado una noticia sobre #mercurysteam , un estudio español, conocido por tratar la saga #Castlevania y #Metroid Dread. Sacaron un juego llamado Blades of Fire en Mayo.
Tras leer artículo, paso a ver #gameplay, video-reseñas, reseñas en prensa especializada donde tiene muy buena recepción y nota. Este juego no me suena de nada, pero tiene una pintaza que flipas.
Después me pongo a pensar, ¿Y si me pongo a mirar las redes sociales del producto? Para ver si algo ha salido mal. Y aquí es donde empiezo a ver los errores del proyecto:
-Nula presencia en redes sociales, donde apenas han tenido alcance. Puede o puede que pagasen por publicidad antes de la salida del juego con una pequeña campaña en Twitter(donde ahora mendigan 10$ por un vídeo de tips). Puede que sea o por crear una cuenta exclusiva del juego, o porque los verdaderos fans del estudio, prefiriesen dar esa escasa presencia solo a los desarrolladores(teniendo estos, un pelín más de presencia).
-No llega a enfocarse en ninguna de las plataformas, donde no está en #Steam debido a un contrato de exclusividad con #Epic Games.
-Hacer una predicción de ventas faraónica como publishers, sin tener en cuenta el mercado ni hacer una buena campaña de marketing.
Esto deja claro varias cosas, un buen juego puede ser muy mal gestionado por un mal publisher. Y no es que no haya vendido el juego, sino que tenía que vender gritones de euros, haciendo un incompetente estudio de mercado y culpando al consumidor. ¿Cómo se puede ser tan peazo de mierda?
Ojalá estos eventos no afecten al gran talento de Mercury Steam y se alejen de publishers como este.

Tymczasem w ręce wpadło mi takie oto cudo od #MercurySteam i to na dzień przed oficjalną premierą 🤩 Bardzo intrygującą produkcją od ludzi, którym zawdzięczamy m.in. Castlevania Lords of Shadow, czy Metroid Dread. I znowu tytuł który przyjdzie kompletnie bokiem, bo mimo, że (jak mi się wydaje) siedzę całkiem głęboko w tematyce gier, to o jego istnieniu dowiedziałem się zupełnie przypadkiem 🤦🏻
Moje pierwsze wrażenia znajdziecie na łamach @pograneeu – o tutaj – a tymczasem ja ruszam w dalszą podróż z Aranem i Adso!

If there is a #Metroid6, I hope the installment is a prequel.
There is a lot of lore you can explore, especially on Zebes and K-2L, and plus there are very minor character constraints and events.
May be some explanation why the Chozo became from the most advanced species on the galaxy to gone.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD
Este es un gran juego de Marca España por Mercury Steam, una empresa madrileña que se ha marcado la de hacer juegos de Metroid y Castlevania de forma legendaria. Este es un port de 3DS a PC muy bien hecho.
El gameplay se explica solo porque literalmente es un juego de Castlevania con backtracking, plataformas y peleas donde controlaremos a 3 personajes.
La historia no parece canon pero me ha llegado a sorprender un plot twist al final.
Recomiendo mucho este juego a los fans de los metroidvanias.
