Da kann man nur hoffen, dass nicht nur viele Produkte endlich günstiger werden, sondern such Umweltstandards eingehalten werden. #Freihandel sollte aus meiner Sicht sowieso Standard sein. Bei #Trump sieht man genug, was #Protektionismus bzw. #Merkantilismus anrichten.

Warto wiedzieć: dziś protest rolników przeciw umowie z #Mercosur!

Godne uwagi jest to, że protestują właśnie rolnicy, a nie konsumenci. 👀

Rolnicy mogą stracić na tej umowie lub wręcz masowo bankrutować (o co chodzi piewcom kapitalizmu i technologizacji wszystkiego, szczególnie przy zastosowaniu AI). Ale rolnicy mają swoje ogródki przydomowe czy też zaufanych producentów żywności z tej samej wsi - rolnik się wyżywi.

A przecież konsumenci będą w gorszej sytuacji niż dzisiaj. Będą się żywić żywnością z krajów, gdzie nie obowiązują takie zasady bezpieczeństwa żywnościowego jak w Polsce i UE. I nie będą mieć realnego wyboru, co jedzą.

I dodatkowo: w głowie mi się nie mieści, jak można być zatroskanym o #klimat, a jednocześnie popierać _dodatkowy_ transport milionów ton żywności z drugiej półkuli. W przypadku Mercosur nie istnieje coś takiego jak ślad węglowy?

"This is an amazing contrast between the pictures and the text of the reporting.

The journalist is wearing a helmet. We see people throwing objects, fires in the background, smoke, hear muffled explosions (the tear gas being fired?).

Yet the reporting is indistinguishable from that in a situation where the journalist would be standing e.g. in front of a peaceful crowd holding protest banners.

I didn't notice a single word addressing the violence, the destruction, the attempted intimidation. Instead the descriptive words are that the farmers are "protesting," they are "not convinced", they are trying to "sway" the EU decision-makers.

The most blatant example of downplaying and ignoring violence that I've come across in recent months.

And no, I cannot imagine that the same kind of ostentatious ignorance would be on display if this were a climate protest, or an anti-AfD protest, or a palestinian protest, to name a few.

How is this anything but blatant journalistic malpractice, Deutsche Welle?

How does this kind of discrepancy not amount to taking sides where you are supposed to remain neutral?"
