End of a hell of a week 14 our working days in middle of week to complete out of hours replacement of entire wired and wireless networking stack for 3 sites for a client trying to get away from Cisco #meraki license/tax.
Satisfying to do but mega stressful to implement whilst simultaneously finding all the previous IT Manager/Supports undocumented bodges and half assed jobs with cabling added hours to the project

Is it just me that cant stand the #Meraki portal?
Todays great one is IP addresses showing up as switch clients. None of those IP ranges exist anywhere in the estate 🤷♂️
We're swapping out over next few days for different equipment and I am trying to plan and notate what we are doing. Keep finding stuff which suggests additional networks and IP ranges but they simply don't exist anywhere in the control panel.

Two Sites, Access Control Server at head office. Remote Site has 3 door control units. Site to site vpn in place.
Following a claimed ip conflict (which makes no sense as its fixed by Maraki system) one of the door controllers is not contactable across the VPN. (1/2)

It is renewal time for our #Cisco #Meraki licenses. All I will say is that #Ubiquity's offerings freaking wonderful.
Buy brand new equipment with no license fees for about $300 more than what it would cost us to renew for a year with Cisco.
Why should businesses pay a yearly license fee to use the equipment they purchased? Cisco also refuses to provide you a quote for license renewals but will "generate an instant quote from a reseller”.
What is this madness?
