For all the chatter about ‘AI psychosis’, my own anecdotal evidence suggest that interacting with LLMs like ChatGPT is extremely unhealthy for folks with pre-existing or a predisposition to mental illness.

Something about the sycophantic nature of these models and their propensity to feed into people’s delusions is like fire & gasoline to people susceptible to psychosis.

Hopefully someone is studying this.

I'm recovering from #MentalIllness so understand the struggle and the exhaustion it causes. but you don't have to fight it in silence. There's definitely a community on here. Embrace it 💖
