#intro 01—Hello #Forkiverse!
I've been working on the Internet in civil service since 1996, and helped building the first .gov.br websites. I though we we're doing good, but we were kind of naive then. Now it's time to get our old Internet back, and from everything I've seen, I came to the conclusion that…we have to "finish building #theFediverse."
Today I work at the Brazilian Institute for #Museums, we are exploring ways to bring #memoryInstitutions into the #Fediverse:

Here goes useful info for those interested in following, or applying for this initiative. The public call involves hiring two professionals, for web communication and web technology. Candidates have until Feb 10 to apply.
Our goal is to provide #museums and other #memoryinstitutions with an open tool that facilitates the exploration of decentralized social networks — #TheFediverse. -
The #ArubaDeclaration is an opportunity for #MemoryInstitutions to embrace their role in the #digitalculture. It's essential for #museums, #archives, and #libraries to have the right to gather and preserve freely available online content. This ensures they can continue serving the public by safeguarding our #digitalheritage.
