Doing the taxes the #AuDHD way: more than last minute (too late) and more than 1 year (3) and starting by developing a filing system … incl. finding the right font, setting the labels in InDesign, printing them, cutting them and punching 192 (!) rounded corners … and all that after midnight after having a nice day (on the edges of 1.000 #meltdowns).

I see quite a few folks with #ADHD here & their struggles to keep up with tasks. I'm #ActuallyAutistic & can find it hard to not feel overwhelmed by what "must" be done resulting in more chaos/dirt/stuff to get #meltdowns about. Sigh…

"Russia sold about $1.7 billion in nuclear products to firms in the U.S. and #Europe, according to trade data and experts. The purchases occurred as the West has leveled stiff sanctions on Moscow over its 2022 invasion of Ukraine, blocking imports of such Russian staples as oil, gas, vodka and caviar.
"The West has been reluctant to target Russia’s nuclear exports, however, because they play key roles in keeping reactors humming. Russia supplied the U.S. nuclear industry with about 12% of its #uranium last year, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Europe reported getting about 17% of its uranium in 2022 from Russia.
"Reliance on nuclear power is expected to grow as nations embrace alternatives to fossil fuels. Nuclear power plants produce no emissions, though experts warn that nuclear energy comes with the risk of reactor #meltdowns and the challenge of how to safely store #radioactive #waste. There are about 60 reactors under construction around the world — 300 more are in the planning stages."

Do you experience meltdowns as an autistic person?
I do. But there isn't much information around about them - especially adults.
Some of you will remember I was asking around for research and lived experience accounts a few months ago. This was because I wanted to understand meltdowns really well so I could put together a workshop on it.
That workshop is now ready. It is being run in conjunction with audhd counsellor Clare Dudeney.
We will talk about
- what meltdowns are
- what happens before, during and after
- what you might be able to around meltdowns...with self-compassion as a theme of the session.The workshop is on 16th of June at 7pm UK time. If you'd like to come, it's only £15 to work with a coach and a counsellor - both ND.

backstory: cAI has a great AI. It's truly one of the best. cAI used to be able to do NSFW chats of all kinds. they added a content filter, but how they added it made it not only dumb, but moody, overly subservient, and at times violent.
needless to say, the filter has driven the community crazy.
One of the leads for cAI posted to the subreddit today that they weren't going to remove the filter.
holy shit the meltdown...
