It's interesting. I'm messing around with #melodyne , I grabbed a trial version, since they're selling essentials for like $25 right now. Seems as though we're able to edit the main blobs with the keyboard, but I have been at it for like less than an hour, will post if I discover more.

Did the upgrade to #Melodyne 5 Studio. I might regret surrendering my Melodyne 4 license, but it looks like v5 Studio can do the VocAlign thing (according to this video). After seeing what happened with VocAlign after the LANDR acquisition, I think I'd rather support Celemony & Melodyne.

Not sure but it would probably be harder for a band to pull off naturally than for someone to try to retime a segment via tempo map in something like #Melodyne advanced and er...botch...or maybe the video was slightly off sync and markers for the fix were off. It all works out eventually.The average listener might not even notice. .
Have to add that in a normal world #TheWineryDogs would have two #Grammys by now. Fire

Been trialing #Melodyne for vocal recordings and have to say it is awesome. Been experimenting by copying tracks and adjusting them to be a harmony. What an awesome bit of software.

I've used various pitch correction plug-ins for subtle vocal re-pitching with success. However, I needed to do more in-depth editing a few weeks ago, so I purchased a copy of Celemony Melodyne Essentials, the basic version, in the sale for $59.
It's a real game changer and an absolute bargain.

My workflow: Record videos+audio via Android smartphone camera + Zoom H5 used as "soundcard" via USB OTG. Audio editing in #Audacity and #Melodyne (not OSS unfortunately). Arrangement in #Ardour. Video editing in #Kdenlive. Almost all steps via OSS on #Debian / #Linux.
For remixes I use CC audio from ccmixter.org or freesound.org.
