It's interesting. I'm messing around with #melodyne , I grabbed a trial version, since they're selling essentials for like $25 right now. Seems as though we're able to edit the main blobs with the keyboard, but I have been at it for like less than an hour, will post if I discover more.

#musicproduction and #songwriter folks, PSA: Meldoyne have a deal to upgrade to Studio for cheap but it ends tomorrow. I bought Essential then immediately upgraded to Studio making it nearly 50% off the usual price. This is a pro level tuning tool for vocals so well worth considering. Deal ends tomorrow.

Been trialing #Melodyne for vocal recordings and have to say it is awesome. Been experimenting by copying tracks and adjusting them to be a harmony. What an awesome bit of software.

I've used various pitch correction plug-ins for subtle vocal re-pitching with success. However, I needed to do more in-depth editing a few weeks ago, so I purchased a copy of Celemony Melodyne Essentials, the basic version, in the sale for $59.
It's a real game changer and an absolute bargain.

My workflow: Record videos+audio via Android smartphone camera + Zoom H5 used as "soundcard" via USB OTG. Audio editing in #Audacity and #Melodyne (not OSS unfortunately). Arrangement in #Ardour. Video editing in #Kdenlive. Almost all steps via OSS on #Debian / #Linux.
For remixes I use CC audio from ccmixter.org or freesound.org.
