My new #painting is "Badgers beneath". I hope you like it.
#Badgers don't hibernate, but they do go into a kind of sleepy lethargy enabling them to sleep for days through the worst of the winter weather. Sensible! Here are four badgers, curled up together, safely embraced by the roots of an #oak.

Badgers reject both metric and imperial weights according to my inbox: "Newborn cubs are 15-16 cm long with a 3-4 cm tail, and between the weight of a kiwi or an orange." I can only speculate where the badgers are getting out of season fruit for comparison. 🥝 🦡 🍊

Here's a #painting I did of a #badger in the #bluebells.
I'm still experimenting with #Gouache, though I'm hampered due to a very limited palette of colours. (I have ordered some new paints).
#Gouache on 600gsm paper - size 13 x 13cm - fits perfectly into Ikea’s Hovsta frame.
