Blimey, bit foggy out this morning.
-
Today was a mixed day, though mostly a difficult one.
I woke up feeling extremely dysregulated, probably because of the material I took to therapy. It took hours to settle and relax again.
The day ended with some fairly disgusting calamari, but also a lovely breeze. I’m making the most of it, because from Monday it looks like low teens and rain for the week.
Monday brings the support worker search again. Tuesday is my disability access plan for uni.
Tomorrow is church as usual, with choral singing, then the usual afternoon collapse on the couch. #ActuallyAutistic

I'm hoping for rain so I've just cleaned out the rain water tank inlets.
And yes I am at the age where I cautiously climbed to the second rung of a very stable A-frame ladder with my phone in my pocket and bicycle helmet on my head -
The old #BOM (Bureau of Meteorology in Australia) has done it again.
We are apparently - allegedly - having massive storms and torrential rain today.
Right.
Sure.

Wow that *is* windy!
-
Crikey it's windy outside. Sunny and very windy. Odd weather. Found myself eyeing the trees I was walking under and the construction crane I walked past with a degree of caution. Even while sitting in this tram waiting to depart, the vehicle is swaying and creaking slightly.
-
Looks like the weather just hit this neighbourhood. The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting wind gusts later this afternoon of over 90 km/h.

it’s #raining on the mornington peninsula; it’s raining a lot.
when i was a kid, [quite some time ago] i had a bramac raincoat and a sou’wester rainhat— the original rubberised jobbies made for an era when no one had cars, and so everyone relied on heavy duty raincoats and galoshes to deal with the elements.
there was a factory just down the road from where i lived for a while, there was a broken down-pipe just under the eaves, and i loved to stand under it letting the funnelled rain pound down on my head and shoulders, imagining i was in the shower, relaxing, daydreaming, and no one was going to tell me to hurry up and finish.there are tiles on the roof where i currently live, but for years, nothing could induce a restful sleep better than the sound of rain on a tin roof. one of my workmates, Leon, told me once he hated having tiles on his roof, so he propped a piece of corrugated iron just outside his bedroom window, for when it rained.

It's going to be hot hot HOT in Melbourne. 32 today, 38 Sunday/Monday and Tuesday!
Don't forget some water for the critters, and replenish it later with cold water!
-
Cat weather appreciation update: still too hot to go outside.
But apparantly ok to lie on the windowsill in baking hot sunshine and cook oneself!

8am in a 38C day, I am not yet hot and bothered, but warm and miffed. It's gonna be a scorcher.
-
It is 18.3 degrees, feels like 15.2 degrees here according to the BOM.
I reckon Australia are trying to do a run per ball to keep warm.
-
It is so cold here. I have a thin cardigan on and wish I had a proper jacket. The person next to me is wearing shorts and wearing goose bumps.

Just discovered the Vic Emergency app was not sending me any notifications.
Reading their help pages says that if you update your device you have to delete all your watch zones, completely uninstall the app, then reinstall the app followed by recreating al your your watch zones.
So I have a single watch zone and am super tech savvy and actually read the help but seriously why? Who designed this?
Other apps cope with a device update and kept sending me notifications so why can't an app designed for emergency use handle this automagically?
Or at least tell me when I launch the app after updating my iPhone! Don't just silently fail until I end up wondering why I've not received a single alert whilst being hammered with rain in a thunderstorm 🤦🏻♂️
