@kixes Here's how it shows up. Surprised to find #MekongReview using Threads though, given all the concerns about Meta, and especially its well documented role in #Myanmar:
https://erinkissane.com/meta-in-myanmar-full-series
Would it not be better to use your existing #RSS feed & #POSSE?
Edit: disappointed by non-response, the enormity may take time to digest? Adding some hashtags to summarise: #Meta #Rohingya #genocide #complicity

Hello, a PSA that the cut-off date for #MekongReview subscriptions to receive the February–April 2024 issue is 12 January. If you subscribe after 12 Jan your subscription will only start with the May–July 2024 issue.

@kixes Not sure if you've seen the discussion above, but since the #MekongReview website is on WordPress already,
(1) it has an existing RSS feed (worth highlighting - I'm so glad to have found this!);
(2) posts to Mastodon can be automated with WordPress plugin;
(3) https://ifttt.com/ may help to automate posts to other platforms?
Hoping this may work for you...

🎺 The editor of #MekongReview has a personal account on Mastodon 😀

Mekong Review needs POSSE! – at this stage, just to notify readers on all platforms when a new post is available on their website. Can experts here help to achieve this with simple steps & minimal disruption? Perhaps starting by making the RSS feed visible?
If you can, please contact the editor at https://mekongreview.com - but do also post advice here! There must be so many of us non-techie individuals & organisations in need of #SimpleSolutions…

I re-subscribed to #mekongreview exactly one day before it offered a 20% discount (promo code APRIL2023)?
Yes.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯Am I complaining about it?
No, because I like to support nice things.

The February–April 2023 issue of #MekongReview is out today, so I finally get to show off our gorgeous, gorgeous cover. 😍
This is my first issue of the magazine as Managing Editor, and my first time working on a print product. I learnt so much in the process, and am exciting to be working on the May–July 2023 issue now.
We’re a tiny publication. Subscribe to support our work! https://mekongreview.com/subscribe/

Today’s #MekongReview Weekly newsletter marks two years since the coup in #Myanmar. Our tiny newsletter doesn’t have a lot of pull at this stage, but I wanted to use any platform and space that we have to make sure we don’t forget the ongoing fight: https://preview.mailerlite.io/preview/231880/emails/78795750255887555

#MekongReview is a valuable space for writing and art from #Asia, on Asia, and by #Asians. I'd like to hold this space to support #Asian writers and to tell stories that are important to us and our communities.
I'm especially interested in stories that reflect our histories and personal experiences, that see our homes for what they are rather than just pawns in #geopolitical games.

The February–April 2023 issue of #MekongReview is now at the printers. It's my first time being an editor with a print publication and I've learnt a lot, especially at the layout and proof-reading stages.
Now it's time to start the cycle again for the May–July 2023 issue! We're open for #pitches: https://mekongreview.com/mekong-review-pitch-guide/

Here's the latest #MekongReview Weekly newsletter: we went to layout for the February 2023 issue this week. It's my first time ever editing a print publication, so this is my first ever layout process and I'm waiting excitedly (and anxiously) for the proofs.
Also, a quick interview with @ncoca: https://preview.mailerlite.io/emails/webview/231880/77594648345839549

Doing final checks of articles before the latest #MekongReview issue goes to layout this week. Desperately trying to open my eyes wide to catch typos, while knowing that, weeks from now when I see the magazine in its final print form, I might still end up finding a typo FML

A new issue of the #MekongReview Weekly #newsletter today! For our Quickfire Quintet section this week, we interview Mike Tatarski of the #Vietnam Weekly newsletter: https://preview.mailerlite.io/emails/webview/231880/76960479671485526
(You can probably tell that I love spotlighting other newsletters while writing a newsletter 😅)

Daniel York Loh of multi-form #arts company Kakilang, in today’s newsletter from #MekongReview:
“People from Southeast and East Asian heritages lack voice, political agency, presence and consideration in the eyes of world media… A media outlet like Mekong Review is essential in this assertion of liberty and I would hope a small arts org like Kakilang is as well.”
