Well, my last test prints with the material combination of #PETG and #BVOH (for the support interfaces) turned out very well, after proper drying of both filaments and printing with a single nozzle #BambuLab #X1C. It took quite a bit of fine-tuning in the settings, but now it seems to be working. I am now printing one of the two complicated models in its entirety, the monitor stand for the #NeXT #MegaPixel display.

I'm so curious how the #NeXT #MegaPixel Display testprint will come out.

The very first test prints of three parts of my #NeXT #MegaPixel display. And oh boy… the middle part (that one with the ribs) is a nightmare for #FDM printing! Horrible post processing getting rid of the support material! This is wh. y I'm thinking of buying a resin printer. The customers will appreciate it too. Because the parts will have WAY BETTER surface quality!

Wow! 3 specific parts of my #NeXT #MegaPixel display take almost 18 hours to print on the #BambuLab #X1C. On a resin printer (Saturn 4 Ultra), #Chitubox tells me it takes 3:43h. And that's with significantly better print quality.

Oh wow! I was curious, so I uploaded all parts of the #NeXT #MegaPixel Display for #SLA printing to #JLC3DP. Just to see how much the resin print would cost. All parts, printed with black resin including surface treatment, add up to about 225 EUR! For one(!) display!

It's funny that #FDM printing is even more expensive, with poorer surface quality.

The parts for the #NeXTcube mini cost a similar amount. I'm starting to have my doubts as to whether anyone will even buy it

Since the IPS panel (an 8-inch 4:3 panel from #Pimoroni, by the way) has a small board with a keypad, I designed a control panel for the #NeXT #MegaPixel display on the bottom of the case. This way, it doesn't interfere with the original design, and the LCD can still be controlled.

Diese beiden Fotos des Selenter Sees zieren die Wände einer hiesigen Bankfiliale. Sie dort so prominent zu sehen, freut mich immer noch - genau wie der Auftrag des Hamburger, auf Bankenarchitektur spezialisierten Unternehmens.

Das größere der beiden Fotos hat die Maße 5,50 x 2,70 Meter - und weil die RAW-Dateien, von denen ich beide Motive ausgearbeitet habe, aus einer 12MP-DSLR stammen, diskutiere ich nicht mehr über #Megapixel.

Schon der #Wahnsinn, was aus 60 #Megapixel rauszuholen ist: ich war auf einer kurzen #Fototour, um ein 21mm #Weitwinkel von #Voigtländer an einer #LeicaM zu testen, da begegnete ich dieser Pflanzenschale bei einem Blumenhändler.
