"No AG would promise that [not do something requested by the Potus.] If he asked me to 'go after every violent criminal in the United States', of course I'd do it."
Welker: "What if he told you to go after a specific individual?"

I tuned into #ThisWeekABC and the first topics included the distressing reports coming in re: the #USSAbrahamLincoln, and news of #CreamsicleCaligula changing planes to evade an #Iranian threat (and using his staff & Press as decoys.)
...and I realize neither #FucSnooze nor #MeetTheRepublicans even mentioned either subjects.
Instead, #FnS promoted T**** suggesting HIS Admin dropped the crime rate "last year" (when it was 2024), and #MtP spent the entire show on "Democrats in disarray." 😡
I'M REMINDED OF AN OLD SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE SKIT from the 2000 (1988?) election.
They mocked a presidential debate where the audience asked the questions. Every time Gore/Dukakis mentioned "tax cuts", the questioner would say, "I hear you saying 'TAXES'."
#Welker just did that on #MeetTheRepublicans. As #AlSayed kept pointing out how #MedicareForAll would cost LESS than what people currently pay for private insurance, she kept trying to get him to say people's "taxes would go up." 😡 🤦♂️

He points out it's hardly occurring "on it's own" when America is blocking energy & trade from entering Cuba.

#Newsom had a good interview on #MeetTheRepublicans.
First half, he did an excellent job of defending #Prop50, noting how the #GOP "knows they are losing or else they wouldn't be working so hard to rig the game".
The 2nd half of the interview (after the commercial break) was mostly Welker trying to get Newsom to admit he made "a mistake" by continuing to stand by #Biden and suggesting there was a rift between him and #Harris based on a comment in her book.

Booker had to point out the obvious:

They did this during the #Dubya Administration as well. "If Republicans #Shutdown the gov't, blame #Democrats." 🤦♂️
