Not only did I save up to see her in-person, but I also heavily researched her on social media, directly asked Adelaide Zoo to confirm her birthdate, curated a chronological playlist of her life and updated her Meerkats Wiki page. I even had her listed in the safety plan I referred to whenever my mental health was at its worst. Rest In Peace, old girl 🤍

I dedicate this special video to Snow White "Snowy" the Meerkat, who passed away on 31st October. As a meerkat enthusiast who spent years dreaming of meeting her in-person before finally being able to last year, the news of her death was heartbreaking. Happy #World_Meerkat_Day! 😄 Back in late May, I was able to fulfill my 3-year-long dream to visit Snowy, the world's only #white_meerkat! Her pale complexion was caused by #vitiligo, the onset of which occurred when she was 2 years old. Apart from needing more sun protection and becoming less active in her old age, Snowy remains a healthy member and dominant of her group! 🤍
