  1. Finally, in #WISCONSIN, #WI01 Bryan Steil, #WI03 Derrick Van Orden & #WI08 Tony Wied won by 10.2%, 2.8% and 14.4%. Over 450,000 Cheeseheads use #Medicaid/CHIP (or "Badgercare"). That's 1 in 5 of them *without* ACA expansion.

  2. #VIRGINIA has their STATE elections this November. Unfortunately they can't kick out #VA01 Robert Wittman, #VA02 Jennifer Kiggans or #VA05 John McGuire until NEXT year. They won by 12.8%, 3.8% and 15% respectively. Across the 3 districts over 470,000 Virginians love their #Medicaid/CHIP, or ~20%.

  3. The Lone Star state has a lone Republican on the list: #TEXAS #TX15 Monica De La Cruz, who won by 14.2 points. Again, even without ACA expansion, over 164,000 Texans in her district have #Medicaid/CHIP coverage. That's 20% of the entire population.

  4. #PENNSYLVANIA has 4 Republicans on the list: #PA01 Brian Fitzpatrick; #PA07 Ryan Mackenzie; #PA08 Robert Bresnahan & #PA10 Scott Perry. Fitzpatrick won by 12.8%, but the others were in the low single digits: 1%, 1.6% & 1.2%. Between them, 680K are on #Medicaid/CHIP, or 22% of the total population.

  5. There are 2 #OHIO Republicans on the list: #OH07 Max Miller and #OH15 Mike Carey. They won by 15% and 13.2% respectively...at the outer edges of flippability. Over 300,000 Buckeyes rely on #Medicaid/CHIP between these 2 districts, or nearly 1 in 5. people.

  6. In #NORTHCAROLINA there's only one Republican on the list: #NC11 Chuck Edwards won by 13.6 points in November. Over 206,000 residents of his district rely on #Medicaid/CHIP, or 26% of the total population. (NC is the first state where I'm using an expanded graphic format w/more details)

  7. Two of the Republicans on this list represent #NEWYORK: Nick LaLota in #NY01 and Michael Lawler in #NY17. They won by 10.4% and 6.3% respectively. Combined, over 345,000 New Yorkers are enrolled in #Medicaid/CHIP in their districts, or 22%.

  8. Moving on to #NEWJERSEY, where #NJ07 Tom Kean Jr. won by 5.4 points. "Only" 68,000 people, or 8.6% of his constituents, are enrolled in #Medicaid/CHIP, but they probably won't be too "kean" to have their healthcare coverage stripped away.

  9. #NEBRASKA Congressman Don Bacon ( #NE02) won his seat by just 1.8% in November. 111,000 residents in his district rely on #Medicaid/CHIP, or nearly 17%.

  10. In #MONTANA, #MT01 Ryan Zinke won by 7.7 points. Nearly 113,000 of his constituents are on #Medicaid/CHIP, or around 20% of them.

  11. #MISSOURI's Ann Wagner #MO02 won by 12% last fall. That's a tough hill to climb, but she just voted to screw over up to 10% of her constituents who rely on #Medicaid/CHIP.

  12. Here in my home state of #MICHIGAN, #MI04 BIll Huizenga, #MI07 Tom Barrett & #MI10 John James won by 11.7%, 3.7% & 6.1% respectively. John James abandoned his district months ago to run for Governor. Across these districts over 450,000 Michiganders rely on #Medicaid/CHIP. That's 1 in 5 residents.

  13. In #IOWA, #IA01 Mariannette Miller-Meeks & #IA03 Zach Nunn won by ust 0.2% & 3.8% respectively. Between their districts, 335,000 Iowans rely on #Medicaid/CHIP, or over 20% of the total population.

  14. In #FLORIDA, #FL04 Aaron Bean, #FL07 Cory Mills, #FL13 Anna Paulina Luna & #FL15 Laurel Lee won by 14.6%, 13%, 9.6% & 12.4% respectively. Across their districts, even without having expanded Medicaid under the ACA, over 530,000 residents rely on #medicaid/CHIP, or 16% of their total population.

  15. In #COLORADO, #CO03 Jeff Hurd, #CO04 Lauren Boebert, #CO05 Jeff Crank & #CO08 Gabe Evans won by 5%, 11.6%, 13.8% & 0.8% respectively. Across their districts over 650,000 residents rely on #Medicaid/CHIP, or 22% of their total population.

  16. In #CALIFORNIA, #CA03 Kevin Kiley, #CA22 David Valadao, #CA40 Young Kim & #CA41 Ken Calvert won by 11%, 6.8%, 10.6% & 3.4% respectively. Valadao is the only one who voted no. His graph makes it clear why. Across their districts, over a MILLION CALIFORNIANS are enrolled in #Medicaid/CHIP.

  17. In #ARIZONA, #AZ01 Dave Schweikert, #AZ02 Eli Crane, #AZ06 Juan Ciscomani & #AZ08 Abe Hamadeh won by 3.8%, 9.0%, 2.5% & 13.0% respectively. Across their districts, 736,000 Arizonans (22% of their total populations) rely on #Medicaid/CHIP.

  18. 🚨 There are 32 House Republicans who won by 15 points or less last November. 31 of them just voted to gut #Medicaid/CHIP & #SNAP along w/other critical programs. In #ALASKA, Nick Begich won by just 2.0%. 250,000 Alaskans, or over 33% of the total population, depend on Medicaid/CHIP.
