‼️A new @zemki working paper by Uwe Hasebrink, @WLoosen and myself - which we also presented at the last #ICA24.
ℹ️ What is the core message?
We argue that #publics should be seen more relationally than in many approaches: whether the #refiguration of #public #communication through #pioneerjournalism, the #journalism- #audience relationship or #mediarepertoires and public connection - it is all about relationalities. But how can we analyse them in a proper way?

At the "Mediatization vs. #Datafication" conference in Lublin, we are discussing the use of #QSort in #mediatization research on the basis of a presentation by Szymon Zylinski. The possibilities here go far beyond #mediarepertoires and also concern the changing "structures of feeling" and #visualcommunication. We ourselves have developed MeSort, which is also #opensource: https://mesoftware.org/index.php/mesort/ This website is new to me: https://qmethod.org/resources/software/

This book has been fun and difficult to write, and I am so excited it will soon be out there in the world. About #smartphones, #socialmedia, #news, #crossmedia, #mediarepertoires, #digitaldisconnection from a #qualitative #everyday perspective.
