In Australian #Motorsport, few names are more well known and loved than Peter Brock, the "King of the Mountain". The "mountain" being the Mount Panorama circuit where the prestigious "Bathurst 1000" is held - a race he won NINE times.
In 2022, on the 50th anniversary of his first Bathurst win, Australia Post released a series of five #Postal #medallion covers featuring some of those wins. Here is one of the covers, a close up of another medallion and the medallion reverse.

Medal Monday!🏅
Gestern habe ich sehr spontan am Sengbach-Talsperrenlauf teilgenommen. Ein 3/4 Marathon der einen dreimal im den Stausee führt. Eine wirklich schöne Runde mit viel Schatten aber auch ca. 200 Höhenmetern pro Runde. Ein idealer Trainingslauf also für den Berlin-Marathon im September. -

#trailrunning #MedalMonday Soča 50k was cancelled due to the extreme heat and thanks to that I didn’t have to DNF as we just did a shorter 34k course. Lovely scenery, brutally hot - I had to sit in a lake after 24k to cool a bit before the last big climb. I was absolutely wasted at the end - had a big sob and sat in the river, glad to be alive and that the punishment was over. Then I went back to the campsite, laid down, was sick, and utterly useless for the next 4 hours😂 Not even an #ultramarathon and that was the toughest race of my life. It’s fair to say I couldn’t have done more on the day.

For many years I've been trying to complete a marathon in 3:15, and that day finally came yesterday at Düsseldorf marathon! Being a smaller race, I could focus on running with the 3:15 pacers, which helped me finish in 3:13:52, shaving almost 5 minutes off my PB! Today I'm waddling like a 🐧 but it was very much worth it! 😁 #DusseldorfMarathon #medalMonday #running

Ayer cerré la temporada por todo lo alto completando mi 4ª media maratón y rebajé ni más ni menos que 30 minutos, no llegué a bajar de las 2 horas, aunque lo rocé. Lo mejor, llegar a meta y encontrarte con la gente q te apoya

Was war das für ein Wochenende mit zwei tollen Halbmarathons! Am Samstag in Duisburg der letzte Lauf der Winterlaufserie und am Sonntag der Venloop, den ich zusammen mit meinen Kids gelaufen bin.

As we come to the end of the Christmas season, celebrating the birth of Christ, here is a medallion featuring the reason Jesus came to us, from John 3:16. Let's take a couple of verses either side for more context:
John 3:14 "Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son."

Es ist mal wieder Medal Monday!
Bereits zum 3. Mal haben wir mit der Running Crew Büttgen am Wochenende unseren Bahnmarathon ausgetragen. Ein Funlauf für die Crew und Freunde. Jede(r) konnte dabei so viel laufen wie er/sie wollte. Wie immer hatten wir viel Spaß und zum ersten Mal gab es sogar echte Medaillen!
