Day 6 if #Mechtober

On second thought, let’s not go to the inner sphere, tis a silly place

Today I picked the Excalibur, and thought about doing something grand and regal, however I realized I should keep on theme and this excited me more.

Don’t ask me about the patsy mech, I didn’t want to spend more time picking a mech, so I just cobbled something together

Day 5 of #Mechtober

And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my repair bay door
That I scarce was sure I heard you, here I rolled up the door
Darkness there and nothing more

Came in a bit late with this one, but migraine be damned if I’m gonna miss a day this early

Day 4 of #MechTober

I did always like the design of the Timber Wolf, and Catapult, but I always thought they kinda looked like dogs with their missile pods on the side.

Who's a good missile battery? That's right you are! Now go fetch!

Day 3 of #MechTober

The Hunchback of Notre Dame!

NGL, a bunch of these might just be me putting mechs into situations relating to their name sakes XD

Dear kit builders/gunpla enjoyers,
I need help for a short detective story. What would drive a gunpla enjoyer to murder? (Premeditated or a fight that got out of hand.)

Low-fantasy D&D aliens?

@rpg

I want to stick aliens 👽🛸 into my next D&D campaign. My idea is to have little grey men show up in a flying saucer and abduct the party. However, I'm worried that this is too comprehensible for the average #DnD character. I want the PCs to be confused, but not the players! What's the weirdest alien you've ever thrown at your D&D party?

Side note, I also want to give the baddies #mechs. How do I mechanically handle this?

Got these guys as part of a spaceship ebay lot, painted them up on a whim. I figure they'll pair well against my recent bombers & interceptors project. They're from a game called #JovianWars, which is the wargame version of #JovianChronicles from #DreamPod9, an anime inspired hardish SF space opera. Fantastic designs, great art. Both of these are meant to be out-of-the-book colors.

Why don't we have mecha yet? (Aside from spending our engineering budget on surveillance advertising instead of anything cool.)

Are mecha impractical? Why exactly, and is there really no niche where they might make sense? (Like lighter weight classes where feet sinking into the ground are less of a problem.)

Is there some crucial tech we haven't developed? What specific technologies are required that we don't have?
