The Wooden Fly Whale Is Almost Magical

I discovered this wooden mechanical wonder on Mix (via Imgur) and quickly searched YouTube to find out more about this incredible piece of art.

This Wooden Migaloo sold for €5111 at an auction last year, with 10% of the proceeds going towards an ocean protection organization.

While the final artistic piece is a wonder to behold, what intrigued me more was the process involved in creating this masterpiece.

Family day out today and went to The Mechanical Art and Design Museum in Stratford upon Avon. It was amazing, we all loved the various mechanical art pieces from simple automata to crazy marble runs. I can’t recommend it more! (We were enjoying it so much I didn’t take any pictures)
