I'm somewhat tempted to switch to NC Cookbook away from tandoor since I don't really use most of the tandoor features and it would lower the maintenance overhead a bit

I've hit a wall with the #Mealie package for #nixpkgs. I just don't know enough about pnpm (and programming overall, I guess) to understand the error I'm seeing. Hoping a different maintainer can figure it out :-/

Trying to refactor the #nixpkgs build of #mealie and am learning more about pnpm than I ever wanted to. Dammit Jim, I'm a sysadmin not a developer!

Spent part of yesterday getting #Mealie set up on my NAS. The install was easy, but a bit of learning curve on how to actually use it. Now that I seem to have the hang of it, I'm pretty excited about having a #selfhosted recipe manager and shopping list generator. I have saved a ton of recipes spread across 3,839 different spots, so it's gonna be a time investment to compile them all into one place. But man is that gonna be so nice. (and w/o corp bullshit or ads)

@GregMitchell okay so I've sunk quite a few hours in at this point. Running my container through a wiregaurd VPN tunnel managed to unlock a few sites including AllRecipes (at least for now), but definitely not all of them. That link you provided works too! (and looks delicious!!)

reading through GitHub on #Mealie and #KitchenOwl makes this seem like an ongoing, ubiquitous issue for scrape implementations.

so far not too impressed with #mealie. every recipe I've tried to import from a URL has had the image scrape get 403'd .... and the import itself is already multiple steps with all the parsing.

Finding myself down a rabbit hole today trying to figure out why my nextcloud container goes offline periodically, looking at hacks to reboot it daily, tracing logs.... just sanity checked myself.... I'm done with it. The file sync works fine (when the server is up) but the client UI is atrocious on both Linux and windows.

Looking at moving off it now. #Syncthing, #mealie or #kitchenowl, and Obsidian will replace 99% of what I use it for

I am using home assistant as the trigger, telling mealie to add random meal plans for X amount of days. One for a dinner and two sides.

All that is left is to have mealie’s rules set up a little better, or perhaps tag food in new ways i haven’t thought of yet.

either way, who else out there is enjoying having mealie take some decision paralysis off their hands?

Pues ya tengo mis 11 subdominios migrados de #Cloudflare a mi instancia de #Pangolin.
La instalación de Pangolin en #VPS ha sido muy fácil, pero no ha sido trivial la migración de los subdominios, aunque una vez entendida la mecánica y un poco de paciencia a la hora de que se refresquen los DNS, he podido hacer que todo funcionara (#SearXNG, #WordPress, #Mastodon, #Matomo, #Nextcloud, #Wikijs, #Vaultwarden, #Excalidraw, #DrawIO, #Umami y #Mealie).
