For #BlackHistoryMonth, I'm introducing African deities in my daily god toots. #Nzazi is the nature spirit of thunder in the #Kongo religion. Devotees of Nzazi invoke his power to cause thunder, lightning and rain during the dry season through consecrated objects called nkisi. #Bunzi, a water spirit, devised a pact between Nzazi and #Mbumba (the rainbow water serpent) to create harmony between the earth and the skies.
