This is revolting. #winnipeg is last in the country for #hospice beds. We have 16, for a population of 834,678. That's appalling. And roughly half those beds are from a non-profit that would not exist were it not for the generous family that opened it in memory of their daughter, #jocelynhouse.
The #healthminister is as usual blowing smoke. Dying people cannot wait.
This makes me incredibly sad. I was a client there in the 90s-early 00s when I was a young woman needing care. They were wonderful.
I have no reason to doubt Kemlin Nembard. Sadly, this happens in so many spaces that describe themselves as progressive.
