At this point going through my old posts and stuff the only conclusion I can come to is that this is just one large #TaxWriteOff for the world's richest man based on everything.
The #karma though of the #LongTailOfLayoffs though that left 7k+ people without work though and over 1/2 or more who are stuck in #arbitration to get their fair severance is also, a poor look for the richest man, who on paper anyways per #Forbes's list.... but isn't compared to certain other RICHER THAN HIM type people NOT LISTED ON FORBES, I will add, and his management style of throwing ๐ฐmoney ๐ฐ around, because, perhaps his Pre-ex-Wife thought it was a good idea? Ugh.

Look no further than the large #culture at these companies and what got approved to copy! That's just the industry with a slight twist, renaming, nay, just steal it. Image how those other rights holders who are *definitely* going to defend their mark/tm/sm/etc because #Legal demanded they do so or lose the ability to defend it? ๐จโโ๏ธ๐ฉโโ๏ธโ๏ธ
This above exercise is kinda like watching a slow speed train crash in #branding but over 1+ year of #brandingfails, #PR101 , #MBA101 , #moderation, #administration, #DevOps, #infosec, etc #fails all at the same time with a twist of #MLM 'schemes' and enticement to 'pay' schemes trying to build something that branding people 20+ years ago said and told the guy was Abad idea name wise but... this just seems to just drive the power users away across a bunch of different geo areas and industries. This is for sure a GREAT case study like #Meta's in similar areas to be reflected elsewhere in the market to be fed into the 'don't do this' category but the flip side is 'this generates #FREE #media coverage' so keep that also in mind. ๐จโ๐ป๐ฉโ๐ป๐ป๐ฅ๏ธ๐จโ๐ป๐ฉโ๐ป๐ฅ๏ธ๐ฐ๐๏ธ๐ก๐ฐ๏ธ๐บ
From a project management perspective this just reeks of a reactionary type top down ๐ฉ type dictated 'get it done at any cost type -ism' and the poor hostages left there are #hardcore stuck trying to scramble to fix it. But this is not that surprising after 80% - 90% of the people who worked there got laid off or quit, init? Less distinguished engineers left means not many that understand how 'the platform' works per sรฉ. This does make some interesting breakages at scale occur I have noticed though. #analytics especially. Keep notes on the shifting types of content and industries affected by showing their #branding neXt to specific other types of brandings, ya know. ๐ฉ๐ณ๐๐

As a journalist I have grown my audience here on Mastodon twice as large as I ever did on the bird cite in 1/2 the time I put into Twitter. Twitter is a cesspool now. All the things the right complained about they have reshaped into their own version of what they were complaining about. This is not a sustainable situation over there btw.
Most of the numbers to views vs. the ๐ 'trending' numbers don't even HAVE numbers associated with the topics chosen. The steady decline of what use to be a useful public OPENWEB website that HAD a public utility BECAUSE it was OPEN has now been RATELIMITED to ONE TWEET. NO REPLIES. It USE to be an open web site that was listed and searchable via web crawlers now has declined so much that the desperation to monetize the latest MLM scheme is getting to desperation levels of cringe.
This is a fascinating #MBA101 and #PR101 level of study though to continue to document. ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐ฎ
