When we don't have adequate housing available, when the shelter option separates couples or people from their pets, why does anyone think this will work at addressing homelessness? Is this just another instance of #MayorBreed using homelessness as a campaign tactic? This is a waste of resources that just hurts people who are already struggling. It is cruel. It is vicious.

I wonder when I read things like this how #MayorBreed and the "#moderate" politicians in #SanFrancisco can still advocate for the homeless sweeps, the compulsory treatment schemes - when SF clearly cannot provide critical care for the people described in this piece.

I'm not entirely against fun things in the city - I think it's cool that SF Rec and Parks brought this in... but more and more it seems like Mayor Breed has been trying to distract from everything her office ISN'T doing to fix the problems of this city. #mayorbreed , closing all the streets in downtown #SanFranciscoAtNight may or may not reduce #crimestats and prevent #blm #protests, but it sure as hell keeps people from getting to the #hotels they have already paid for.
Hotels are businesses too… and people coming to the city to do business need to be able to get to them.

I saw this on the news and couldn't believe it. NWS predicted it. I know NBC Bay Area was talking about it A LOT.Even if they were caught off-guard of the large amount in that one storm, they knew there were more coming.
