I sauntered down the street, to the Greek festival in Tremont on Saturday, not unlike the last 30 + years. As I was eating my Gyro, I had the ‘groundhog day’ affect/effect go through me and I decided to do something besides enjoying the same song and dance as I usually do.

The best part of the Clark Fields redo was the entranceway on the north side of Clark Hill, just west of Quigley. This area was an eyesore for as long as I can remember. It was a huge empty lot consisting of broken cement, asphalt, and stone.

It has been seven or so years when they first started working on this park, with the EPA eradicating the soil and then several years of delays that was blamed on Covid but, the Tremont Industrial Valley Park is finally open to the public, even though they still have a good bit of work to do.
