After I clone to my media laptop’s new NVME, I am gonna take my friend’s advice to just fully encrypt my next #linux install.
I had to get this machine near the end of uni to run some pretty heavy Windoze-only programs like #maxmsp
Normally, I have tended towards unencrypted installs and encrypted volumes with the private data there. The furthest I have gotten towards full disk encryption on my own is to fully encrypt an entire drive for data.
Why have I gotten into this situation? I have my reasons, but if I am honest, I think they’re weak to be beneath enumerating despite how compelling they have been to me personally .

Version 013, with the addition today of LFO controls from abl.device.autofilter~ to my little synthesizer. Next step: trying to understand how to integrate MPE and redefine the UI. I'm hearing some things I like.

Development in progress and learning how to use poly~, today I'm deciding which filter to integrate. The auto-filter seems like a good choice but requires a lot of work given the number of parameters. In short, hesitation or procrastination.

While I prefer to bring my own text editor, the dedicated Frescobaldi editor is useful to play MIDI output into a virtual bus, and send that to Max to host some VSTs and my MIDI keyboard performance patch.

Finally taking the plunge and learning Lilypond! It's kind of like LaTeX for sheet music.
I'd been interested since the Finale debacle, and while Dorico has been nice, I'm finding that in many cases I prefer writing text files to working in a graphical program, so it made sense to give it a go.
