I just watched the Ukrainian independent animated movie "Mavka: The Forest Song" ("Мавка. Лісова пісня").
It's a really beautiful movie, I really liked it.
The plot is mainly the usual "hate and human greed against nature", with some elements we know from stories like Pocahontas, Beauty and the Beast and the live action "Maleficent".
The visuals are absolutely stunning with beautiful depictions of plants, water animations, fur and jewelry, really impressive.
While the German disk release has no English dub and subtitles, which makes it less fit for viewing with my international friends, it DOES include the original Ukrainian dub, which is the one I watched.
Lovely voice actors, music and songs, I recommend it! ♥️
