An upcoming conference for Proper Astronomers:
"High Angular Resolution Science with Next-Generation Optical-Infrared Capabilities at ESO", 1st-4th September at @esoastronomy HQ in Garching, Germany.

The aim is to explore the science that will be made possible by the MAVIS instrument on the Very Large Telescope and the various instruments of the Extremely Large Telescope (e.g. MICADO, HARMONI, MORFEO) when they come online in the 2030's.
Abstract submission is now open, and the deadline is 15th May.

Wide field adaptive optics has been being worked on for a long time, and there have been a number of demonstrator instruments, but there are currently not many facilities in operation. There are, however, a lot more in development.
As an aside, astronomers are terrible at naming things. Look at all those tortured acronyms.
